We have been to Maine every year for the past 10 years on vacation, and this is by far our favorite place! The location is perfect. Quiet but close to everything we need. Normally we spend most of our vacation time in Maine hiking Acadia, but we were so taken with this spot that we only went there twice.

We were not aware of another living soul. We heard the rain trickling on the rocks, the water splashing on the shore. The loons come in at night and call. A squirrel greeted us one morning on the dock. Mr. Woodpecker worked diligently on the old birch. The forest walks were filled with moss rocks, soft forest underbrush, the sounds of cracking twigs and feel of soft, cool pines brushing my face. Ben and Troy fished every day from the dock. I joined them, with a book or two. They biked and walked nearby trails. We had no phones, no cars, no worries - nothing to challenge or distress us. Thank you!

What a fantastic place this is. One has to do nothing but sit and watch the pond and listen to the loons and water to enjoy themselves. We also cycled, canoed, kayaked, walked, swam, but every day ended with a sit on the dock or the porch in the quiet and beauty of this heaven on earth. Thank you for keeping this piece of nature serene and sharing it with us! P.S. My sister who lives in Blue Hill, Maine, pretty in itself, came to visit and was so sad to leave. This is a beautiful place.
